The Center of French Language and Culture was created as an integral part of the Department of Romance Languages and Interlinguistics within the structure of the Faculty of Foreign Philology of the Volyn National University named after Lesia Ukrainka within the framework of the cooperation agreement between the Department of Romance Languages and Interlinguistics and the Association AES Alsace (Actions et Exchanges Slaves), (France) .
The Center for French Language and Culture was created to:
- improving the level of knowledge of the language, culture, literature and history of France;
- creation of favorable conditions for study and independent work of students, scientific and methodical work of teachers and graduate students;
- promotion of mutual enrichment of national cultures, strengthening of educational, social and economic ties between Ukraine and France;
- acquaintance with French national customs and traditions;
- holding meetings with representatives of embassies, heads of representative offices of French companies and organizations accredited in Ukraine;
- the opportunity to visit and get acquainted with the university, in particular, high school students - future students of Lesya Ukrainka University.
