The Center of German Language and Culture (hereinafter referred to as the Center) was created as an integral part of the Department of German Philology within the structure of the Faculty of Foreign Philology of Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University. The center is a scientific and educational and methodological base for conducting research activities of teachers, graduate students and students of Lesya Ukrainka University.
The center was created with the purpose of:
- promoting the study of the German language, enriching knowledge of the social, cultural and scientific life of Germany in accordance with the interests of the users of the Center (students, graduate students, teachers of Lesya Ukrainka University);
- establishment of fruitful cooperation, as well as educational, scientific and cultural activities between universities and institutions of Ukraine and Germany;
- promoting the study of the German language in Ukraine and abroad;
- provision of informational and methodological assistance to students and teachers in mastering the basics of information culture;
- search and processing of information, primarily related to Germany, culture, literature and country studies of Germany, as well as the educational process and university life in Germany;
- providing information to students, postgraduates and teachers about studying and conducting research in Germany, as well as scholarship programs of the DAAD and other organizations and foundations;
- conducting events using modern information technologies;
- in the future, it is planned to conduct the TestDaF and TestAS tests, which are required for admission to universities in Germany.
