Swedish Language Center of the Faculty of Foreign Philology
The Center for the Swedish Language (CSL), established in May 2013 as a component of the Department of Foreign Languages of Natural and Mathematical Specialties within the structure of the Faculty of Foreign Philology. The CSHM maintains relations with state and public organizations, educational, training and scientific institutions of Ukraine and Sweden.
The objectives of the CSHM activity are:
increasing the level of knowledge of the language, culture, literature and history of Sweden, creating favorable conditions for learning and independent work of students, scientific and methodological work of teachers;
promotion of mutual enrichment of national cultures, strengthening of educational, social and economic ties between Ukraine and Sweden;
conducting Swedish language classes, seminars, open classes, "round tables";
acquaintance with Swedish national customs and traditions.
TSHM sets itself the task of:
attracting public organizations and state institutions, both Ukrainian and Swedish, to the University;
creation of educational and methodical materials and manuals for learning the Swedish language in Ukraine;
preparation for publication of scientific articles and publications on the problems of the Swedish language, literature, culture and history of Sweden;
methodical assistance to educational institutions where the Swedish language is studied.
holding conferences on the most important issues of the development of the Swedish language and culture;
providing scientific-methodical, informational, advisory and practical assistance to students studying the Swedish language, teachers, graduate students and all other persons interested in learning the Swedish language.
