Year of foundation of the department: 1998.

The Department of Accounting and Taxation was established on February 23, 1998 on the basis of the Department of Economics and Management of the Faculty of Economics, which in turn was established in 1994, when Lutsk Pedagogical Institute named after Lesya Ukrainka received the status of Volyn State University named after Lesya Ukrainka. Lesia Ukrainka East European National University. The first head of the department was Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Oleg Ivanovich Gadzevich.

The Department of Accounting and Taxation prepares students for two levels of higher education - bachelor's and master's degree in 071 "Accounting and Taxation". In addition, a postgraduate course in specialty 071 "Accounting and Taxation" was opened.

The main activities of the Department of Accounting and Taxation are the implementation of scientific and pedagogical activities in the cycle of accounting and analytical disciplines to train specialists in accounting, analysis and auditing for enterprises, organizations and institutions of various forms of ownership, audit firms, government agencies.

At the Department of Accounting and Taxation created problem student groups to study the problems of accounting and tax accounting, economic diagnostics of enterprises.

Scientific directions of the department are:
• development of issues related to the improvement of accounting and analytical work of enterprises in anti-crisis management conditions;
• accounting and analytical support of innovation processes in enterprises;
• improving the system of information technology accounting and analytical work of enterprises.

Рік заснування кафедри: 1998.

Кафедра обліку і оподаткування створена 23 лютого 1998 року на базі кафедри економіки та менеджменту економічного факультету університету, який в свою чергу був створений в 1994 році, коли Луцький педагогічний інститут імені Лесі Українки одержав статус Волинського державного університету імені Лесі Українки, а з 2012 року – Східноєвропейський національний університет імені Лесі Українки. Першим завідувачем кафедри був кандидат економічних наук, доцент Гадзевич Олег Іванович.

Кафедра обліку і оподаткування готує студентів за двома рівнями вищої освіти – бакалавр та магістр за спеціальністю 071 «Облік і оподаткування». Крім того відкрита аспірантура зі спеціальності 071 «Облік і оподаткування».

Основними напрямами роботи кафедри обліку і оподаткування є здійснення науково-педагогічної діяльності по циклу облікових і аналітичних дисциплін для підготовки фахівців з бухгалтерського обліку, аналізу та аудиту для потреб підприємств, організацій і установ різних форм власності, аудиторських фірм, владних структур.

При кафедрі обліку і оподаткування створені проблемні студентські групи з вивчення проблем бухгалтерського і податкового обліку, проведення економічної діагностики підприємств.

Науковими напрямками роботи кафедри є:
• розробка питань щодо вдосконалення облікової та аналітичної роботи підприємств в антикризових умовах управління;
• обліково-аналітичне забезпечення інноваційних процесів на підприємствах;
• вдосконалення системи інформаційних технологій обліково-аналітичної роботи підприємств.

The educational program provides for the training of highly qualified specialists capable of solving complex specialized tasks and applied problems in the field of accounting, analysis, control, audit, taxation.
The educational program is based on the theoretical, methodological, organizational and practical principles of accounting, control, audit and analysis of the activities of business entities and their taxation.
A feature of the program is the study of disciplines that will allow graduates to obtain the necessary knowledge and skills and be in demand as specialists in the labor market. The study of accounting educational components, analytical ones related to the analysis of enterprise activities, and educational components regarding the organization of taxation at enterprises of various types of economic activity and domestic software products for accounting and reporting is relevant.

Educational Program Digital Accounting and Consulting

The educational program provides for the training of highly qualified specialists in the areas of accounting, analysis, taxation, auditing and consulting.
The educational program focuses on acquiring skills and competencies in the use of information technologies for accounting, analysis and taxation in order to carry out consulting activities regarding accounting and analytical support for both enterprise management as a whole and individual business processes in particular.
The program is aimed at forming a modern accountant-analyst, consultant with knowledge of national and international accounting and taxation systems and the ability to use digital technologies, a user of cybersecurity and information protection tools, a specialist with the ability to adapt to a new package of application programs.
