The Fine Arts Department was established on September 1, 1986 on the basis of Lesya Ukrainka Lutsk State Pedagogical Institute.
Since 1994, the department has been functioning as a separate structural unit within the Faculty of Culture and Arts of Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University.
The Fine Arts Department plays an active scientific, creative, and artistic role in the art circles of Volyn. It constantly organizes, conducts, and participates in art competitions, plein airs, exhibitions, and scientific events. The department's teaching staff deeply researches, develops, and popularizes the fine arts of the Volyn region.
