The educational media center at the Faculty of Philology and Journalism has been in existence since 2007 (before the reorganization in 2016 – it was a training laboratory of journalistic skills) to train the skills of journalistic and editorial work. Students have the opportunity to study and process the collected material, present their work.
Main areas of activity
The educational media center is a platform for the high-quality implementation of theoretical knowledge acquired by students in practice.
In the specially equipped multimedia auditorium N-407 of the Faculty of Philology and Journalism there is a studio for audio and video recording, editing and editing.
The media center serves as a place where creative ideas and student journalistic and publishing projects are born, in particular, materials for the Nivroku website (https://ffj.in.ua), the Nivroku magazine, radio programs ("Fine Mill"), television programs news, as well as audio podcasts, multimedia materials. Workshops (from our journalist graduates, media experts, etc.), educational trainings, media bridges, presentations and working meetings of the student editorial office often take place here.
The media center conducts educational classes for undergraduate and graduate students majoring in "Journalism", including lectures, practical sessions and consultations in the following disciplines: "World media systems and modern information strategies", "Cross-media communication", "Analytical journalism", "Reporter journalism" , "Television Journalism", "Radio Journalism", "Online Journalism", "Photojournalism", "Social Networks", "Literary Criticism", etc.
The technical resources of the educational media center are also actively used by students of the journalism section of the Volyn regional branch of the Small Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
