Folk ensemble "Rozmay"

In 1981, on the basis of the faculty of primary school teachers of the Lutsk State Pedagogical Institute named after Lesya Ukrainka (now a university), the folk ensemble "Rozmay" was created by LM Kuzhilyuk. The basis of his creative activity was the revival of the folklore heritage of Volyn. These are vocal and choreographic compositions "Vechornitsa", "And when we get married", "How the boys went", "My Volyn", "Christmas Nativity Scene".

Special attention was paid to the study and popularization of folklore recorded by Lesia Ukrainka in Volyn. As a result, original folk compositions "On our street", "Kupala in Volyn", "Spring parties" were created, which included more than 50 folklore samples recorded by Lesya Ukrainka, who in a letter to Ivan Franko expressed her dream: ". ..I decided to publish a small collection of folk dance songs ... for the people ”. This work was highly praised by the participants of the International Symposium "Lesya Ukrainka and World Culture", as evidenced by the press. "Rozmay" demonstrated its art in Volyn, Lviv, Rivne, Ternopil, Poltava, Kyiv. At international festivals in Poland, Yugoslavia, the Baltics, Belarus, he twice won the TV tournaments "Solar Clarinets", appeared on the Volyn regional and Ukrainian television. He took part in charity and patronage concerts. In 1985, the team was awarded the title of "Amateur People's" (now "amateur"), has numerous prizes, diplomas, certificates, thanks. More than 60 publications in the press testify to the high level of creativity. Many members of "Rozmay" lead folk groups in schools, instill a love for Ukrainian folk songs.

A significant contribution to the work of the team was made L.V.Hordiichuk, O.M.Skobeliev, L.N.Pasaman, V.F.Kucheruk, O.H.Antishkina, A.A.Kukhtiuk, F.S.Bondarchuk, V.Yu.Lopanov, A.P.Holovan, S.V.Horbach.

Currently, the team is managed V.F.Okhmaniuk, O.M.Marach, O.D.Kozachuk, which continue and renew the creative traditions of "Rozmay". The repertoire is systematically updated. The best students of the Institute of Arts are selected for the team.

The choreographic group, song and dance ensemble "Rozmay" is led by Honored Worker of Culture Oleh Dmytrovych Kozachuk, one of the best choreographic directors in Ukraine. Currently in the repertoire of the choreographic group such dances as "Pryluky Polka", "Barbarian", "Hutsul Dance" are staged, a new vocal and choreographic composition "Volyn" is created, "Hopak" is staged for the first time.

The choir, song and dance ensemble "Rozmay" is led by the accompanist of the Department of History, Theory of Arts and Performance Oleksandr Mykolaiovych Marach. The choir of the ensemble was replenished with new soloists: M.Pysaruk, A.Slipchuk, T.Hrytsak. The group's repertoire includes new works: "Wind is violent", choral stage "Paradise of Spring", "Oh, you lark", "In the dark ravine", "Ancient glory of Ukraine", Christmas rite "Shchedrivochka generously".

The orchestra, song and dance ensemble "Rozmay" is led by the Deputy Director for Educational Work, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Musical Instruments, winner of International and All-Ukrainian competitions Vitalii Fedorovych Okhmaniuk. The orchestra's repertoire includes "Polish Patterns", "Triple Music", "Moldavian Plays", "Bukovinka for Horn". The solo performance of students accompanied by the orchestra includes such Volyn folk songs as: "I foretold a fortune teller", "Gilya, gilya gray geese", "Rye to my mother", "Three oaks". Ukrainian folk instruments are used as: bagpipe, bull, bandura, kozobas, buhalo, cymbals.
