The building was constructed for the Tadeusz Kosciuszko State Gymnasium in 1931 (architect Kazimierz Tolochko) in the style of functionalism.
In 1946, the building was transferred to the Teachers' Institute, which resumed its activities in the postwar period. In the 1960s, the building was reconstructed: the facade was changed and classrooms, a sports hall, and an assembly hall were added.
Currently, the following faculties operate in the building:
- Faculty of Physical Culture, Sports and Health;
- Faculty of Pedagogical Education and Social Work;
- Faculty of Law;
- Museum of University History.
The Faculty is equipped with modern classrooms, sports grounds and halls, and a certified university sports stadium (30 Yaroshchuk Street). The material and technical base of the faculty makes it possible to ensure a high level of organization and conduct of the educational and training process using innovative methods. The sports complex is being systematically modernized: tennis and gymnasiums have been built and equipped, the gymnasium and game halls, fitness room, classrooms and premises equipped with modern digital equipment have been overhauled. The faculty has a modern training complex, classrooms and departments are equipped with new furniture, a museum of sports glory has been created, and the area around the building has also changed. Students and faculty have the opportunity to attend training sessions and improve their health at the Gart practice center (Svityaz village, Shatsk district, Volyn region).
The School of Law is an educational, scientific, cultural and educational structural unit of the University, founded in 1993 to implement the educational, research and cultural and educational tasks of the highest law school in Ukraine.
- The Law School structurally unites the following departments:
- Department of Theory and History of State and Law;
- Department of Civil Law Disciplines;
- Department of Criminal Law and Procedure;
- Department of Constitutional, Administrative and Financial Law.
The School has a forensic laboratory and the Ad Astra legal clinic. Other structural subdivisions of the University also support the activities of the Faculty.
Material and technical base: the Faculty has 20 classrooms. Computer classroom, three research classrooms (research laboratory of pedagogical comparative studies, research laboratory of special and inclusive education, research laboratory of primary education), assembly hall, library of pedagogical literature.
