On the basis of Lesya Ukrainka University, the second all-Ukrainian festival-competition of vocal skills named after Andriy Hordiichuk «Singing Field–2023» took place. On June 2, the winners were awarded during the gala concert.

The festival-competition is named after Andrii Hordiichuk, a long-time Head of Faculty of Culture and Arts, Honoured Worker of the Arts of Ukraine, Professor. This year, about 200 young talents participated in the «Singing Field». Participation in the competition did not involve creative contributions. Instead, funds were collected during the action to be later handed over to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Honoured guests, organisers, representatives of cultural elite and contestants gathered for the final gala concert. Anna Zarytska, Andriy Hordiichuk’s daughter, was invited to speak first. «The "Singing Field" festival-competition is the dream of my father, who devoted his whole life to art and music. He was obsessed with his work and would say he was lucky to be able to do what he loved,» she said.
People’s Deputy of Ukraine, Professor of the University Iryna Konstankevych noted that Andrii Hordiychuk was a unique person, had good organisational skills and implemented many projects. According to her, Andrii Mykolayovych’s cause continues to live. In particular, thanks to such events as «Singing Field».

Vice-Rector for Educational Work and Communication Nataliia Blahovirna congratulated Faculty of Culture and Arts on the organisation of a wonderful initiative. «I happily congratulate those two hundred participants who have the courage to achieve their dreams. The most difficult thing in life is to start acting. Everything else depends on our perseverance,» she addressed the participants of the action and wished everyone victory.
Vitalii Okhmaniuk, Dean of the Faculty of Culture and Arts, thanked all the participants and organisers of the «Singing Field» festival-competition. «I think that Andrii Mykolayovych can see us and is pleased that we are continuing his work to be continued,» remarked the dean of the specialised faculty.
«As long as our language lives, as long as the Ukrainian song lives, our nation will live, despite the evil neighbour we are at war with. As long as there are young people who carry this legacy, our nation and Ukraine will continue to live and no one will be able to overcome it,» said Kateryna Shklioda, Head of the Board of Ihor Palytsa Foundation «Only Together».
The contestants, guests, members of the organising committee and representatives of the Faculty of Culture and Arts performed during the gala concert. The laureates and winners of the competition received awards.
The preparation and holding of the II all-Ukrainian festival-competition of vocal art named after Andrii Hordiichuk «Singing Field» was carried out by Faculty of Culture and Arts of Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University. The idea creator and founder of the festival-competition is Anna Zarytska.
The festival-competition was held in the nominations «Solo Singing» and «Vocal Ensemble», for participants aged from 10 to 25 years.
