An Archeological Centre was opened on the basis of the Faculty of History, Political Science and National Security. The event took place on September, 7. Rector Anatolii Tsios, the Vice-Rector for Academic Work and Recruitment Yurii Hromyk and the Vice-Rector for Educational Work and Communication Nataliia Blahovirna attended the location’s opening.
The Faculty of History, Political Science and National Security was represented by the Dean Yaroslav Yarosh, the Deputy Dean Ivan Rudianyn, the faculty Lecturer, Deputy Director of the State Historical and Cultural Reserve “Staryi Lutsk”, researcher of the Archaeological Protection Service of Ukraine Viktor Bayuk, and the students.
Anatolii Tsyos, Head of Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University, addressed the audience with a welcoming speech: “The elements of a dual form of education are a competitive edge of our University. Especially when it is possible to perform a large layer of work in the direction of history and archeology. This significantly complements the theoretical education provided by the faculty. Thank you very much for this location and the implementation of joint projects.”

The Dean of the faculty, Yaroslav Yarosh, thanked everyone for this initiative and its implementation. “We are expanding the classroom fund. This used to be a technical room. Due to the initiative of Viktor Hennadiyovych Bayuk, the Archaeological Protection Service of Ukraine, the Historical and Cultural Reserve “Old Lutsk” and within the framework of the implementation of the dual form of education project, this Archeological Center was created. Practical classes and work with students can be conducted here. Undoubtedly, this space will expand and fill up,” he noted.

“The idea was to create a specialised classroom for theoretical classes. We have a practical phase in the reserve within the dual form of education. In addition, with the 1st year, we conduct practice in Hrinnyky. This Archeological Centre will be an excellent theoretical base,” said Victor Bayuk.

The room has multimedia equipment, visual banners and information stands. During its work, the Archeocenter will be filled with findings from the research of lecturers and students of the Faculty of History, Political Science and National Security of Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University.
