On July 12, the walls of Lutsk Castle were noisy, solemn, crowded, joyful and a little bit sad, because 1639 students of Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University completed one of the most important stages of their lives, receiving documents on obtaining a bachelor's degree. In addition, the graduates of Medical Faculty received their desired master's degrees.
Rector Anatolii Tsos, Vice-Rectors Nataliia Blagovirna, Liudmyla Yelisieieva, Rector’s Assistant Tetiana Rospopa, Metropolitan of Lutsk and Volyn, Bishop Mykhail, Deputy Head of Regional State Administration Roman Romaniuk, Deputy Chairman of Regional Council Hryhorii Pustovit, Deputy Mayor of Lutsk Iryna Chebeliuk, parents, friends and relatives came to share the important moment with the graduates.
The award ceremony was opened with the National Anthem of Ukraine, and a minute of silence was held to honour those who died for the freedom and independence of our state.
Four years, full of challenges, friendship, discoveries, and growth, have today turned into a diploma in hand and hope for a bright future. This is exactly what the honored guests wished the students, as well as peaceful skies and professional development.
Anatolii Tsos thanked the parents for their trust in the University, and the students for the path they have taken, which required considerable efforts to overcome the challenges of the pandemic and the war.

“You have received a high-quality, worthy education opening the way for you to professional fulfillment in your chosen field.
Dear graduates, thank you for your conscious choice to study at a Ukrainian university in Ukraine. Thank you for your concern.
During these years, you not only gained knowledge, but also actively demonstrated yourself in good deeds by participating in charity fairs, actions, and initiatives. We have worked together to provide our defenders with the most necessary things, such as drones, means of communication, and equipment.
From myself personally and from the Brigade Commanders receive sincere gratitude to you for your active civic position and open heart.
Thank you that we are together for the sake of Ukraine, for our land, for our university," Rector said.

"You are a generation that has gone through trials. You are children of the pandemic. Children of war. And even on the eve of your holiday, unfortunately, the "salute" sounds were heard again, alarming and threatening.
But you persevered. You did not get scared. You did not run away. You stayed and today you are here.
There were also those who suggested moving the celebration to another day. But today we are together, because this is your day. And this is your strength.
I wish you that the Lord protect you wherever you are, wherever you continue your studies or work. May there always be a peaceful sky above you, and bright prospects ahead of you,” wished Bishop Mykhail.

“May no anxious night, no political storms or life obstacles knock you off your path, break your faith but only harden you. May you always have enough strength and inner confidence to move forward and achieve your goals. Remember: your success begins with faith in yourself. Do good. Live with dignity. And may everything you undertake bring good, significant results,” said Roman Romaniuk.

“A successful specialist is the key to the success of the entire Ukrainian industry, every business, every step forward.
Be successful. Be happy. Go confidently towards your goal. May the Lord accompany you in all your endeavors – and grant you strength, inspiration and peace on this path”, – said Hryhorii Pustovit.

Iryna Chebeliuk thanked the parents and educators, wished the bachelors not to lose themselves and to step on the right path leading to success: “May inspiration not leave you, may your dreams come true, may the path that you choose next be truly with Ukraine and for Ukraine”.

This day – with flowers, smiles, hugs has become a bright spot in one chapter of life and at the same time the beginning of a new path. Ahead are great opportunities, bold decisions and victories. And today is a holiday to forever remain in memory.
