On October 18, as part of the cooperation between Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University and the Lutsk City Employment Centre, a “Career Day” was held for the students of the 1st year (group PTBD-15) of the specialty 076 Entrepreneurship, trade and stock market activity.
Yuliya Kharichkova, Head of the Active Support Department for the Unemployed of the Lutsk City Employment Centre, informed the adolescents about the centre’s structural departments activities, the current state of the labour market in Volyn region; emphasized the possibilities of promoting job search by graduates and students of a higher education institution, reliable and proven Internet resources for job seekers. The students were asked to take a test to determine their professional goals.
In her turn, Valentyna Korniychuk, Professional Consultant of the Department of Youth Policy and Social Work of Lesya Ukrainka University, introduced the students to the activities of the department and its employees.
Since October 18 is the European Day of Combating Human Trafficking, Yuliya Kharichkova demonstrated a thematic video about the risks and threats of human trafficking and ways to avoid falling into the trap of fraudsters. At the end, the students had the opportunity to ask questions and get answers.
