On February, 19th, 2015 Chełm Chamber of Commerce, Ltd and Lesya Ukrainka Eastern European National University signed an agreement on the foundation of the Cross-Border Innovation Cluster.
The parties entered into an agreement to organize a series of professional applied trainings in Poland for students of EENU in the fields indicated in the University curricula.
The parties expressed their intention to form a Cooperation Association, which will be the basis for events implemented jointly by Ukrainian and Polish entrepreneurs, research centers and NGOs in the areas of research and development, by local authorities, and other individuals and business of Poland and Ukraine.
The Cluster is to attain its goals through:
developing new innovative products and services;
commercializing research centers’ potential;
carrying out scientific research;
arranging trainings, workshops, seminars and conferences on the topics related to the issues of the development of innovations and of running business;
forming and maintaining the experience exchange and informing system to facilitate the establishment and development of scientific and business ties;
searching for the EU resources to fund research, investment, and other measures that support the development of innovation;
- cooperating with other national and foreign organizations, whose activity aims and scope meet the requirements of the Cluster.
Through this partnership, the students of EENU will have an opportunity to undergo applied training (during summer holidays) at Polish institutions, organizations, companies, and then to apply for a job there.
