On June 23, at the Department of Forestry and Park Management of Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University, the final qualification papers for the Bachelor's degree in the specialty 205 Forestry were defended.
The head of the department Oleksandr Kychyliuk and associate professor Valentyna Andreieva were the members of the state examination board. The director of the state enterprise “Kivertsi Forestry” Anatolii Yarmoliuk headed the examination board.
The topics of the scientific works concern most hotly-discussed issues of forestry science. Among the topical issues is a selection of valuable plantations of pine and spruce, use of the typological potential of plantations, silvicultural activities, features of conducting and designing forest cuttings, forest reproduction, organization of forest fire protection, hunting management, assessment of the work of the state protection of the nature reserve fund, the current state of the recreational ecological- educational path Forest Song, and the effectiveness of the use of the land withdrawn from agricultural turnover for blueberry cultivation.
An interesting fact is that among the bachelors are those who already work in the forestry industry. These are Oleksandr Derechey, Ihor Yaskovets, Mykhailo Kovalchuk, Ihor Naumich, and Anatolii Dolia.
The state examination commission highly appreciated the scientific quality level of students' bachelor theses and emphasized their practical and production-related significance.
