The exhibition opening “Racism is...” was held in the lobby of the main building of Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University. The thematic materials were prepared by the specialists of the Ukrainian Institute of National Remembrance, the Centre for Strategic Communications and Information Security, as well as the National Memorial Complex of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred – the Museum of the Revolution of Dignity.
In order to reveal the content of the quasi-ideology, which is involved in a contradictory combination of the ideas of fascism and bolshevism and under whose slogans the russian invaders are killing Ukrainians today, Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University decided to make stands to inform students, employees and visitors of the institution.
“Education at the University should provide not only the formation of knowledge, abilities and skills, but also competences and personality. I am sure that this exhibition will serve as a relevant contribution,” said Anatolii Tsos.
Lesya Bondaruk, Chief Specialist of the Western Interregional Department of the Ukrainian Institute of National Remembrance, visited the exhibition opening. She said that during the current year, her colleagues produced three exhibitions. “This exhibition is special and necessary for everyone. We heard the terms “xenophobia”, “scratches”, “genocide”, but we did not fully understand the way they relate to today’s events. At these stands, you can find out all the necessary information in detail,” said the historian. The exhibition opening was also attended by lecturers, employees of the University and students.
