Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University held celebrations on the occasion of the Independence Day of Ukraine and the Day of the National Flag of Ukraine.
The venues took place on the eve of public holidays near the educational institution’s main building. It was a charity event, all raised funds will be directed to the needs of defenders of Ukraine – servicepersons of the 14th separate mechanised brigade named after Prince Roman the Great.


The charity event was attended by the Rector of Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University Anatolii Tsos, the Vice-Rector for Educational work and Communication Natalia Blahovirna, the Director of the Department of Youth and Sports of the Lutsk City Council Volodymyr Zahozhyi, students, teachers, employees of the Lesia Ukrainka Volyn National University, and enthusiastic Lutsk citizens.
During the concert, Rector Anatolii Tsos congratulated the audience on the two public holidays and wished everyone good luck for further active work towards the Victory.

The presenters told the audience about Independence Day and Flag Day, as well as the state symbols of Ukraine: the history of the anthem, coat of arms, decipherment versions of the trident.
The folk amateur ballroom dance ensemble “Youth”, the exemplary artistic group “Feeriya” of the Lutsk specialised school No. 1, Anna Tkach, Oleksandra Korovytska, the trio 3beauties delighted the audience with dancing and singing.



The Defenders who protected the Ukrainian borders were also commemorated during the action, and the fallen Heroes were honored with a moment of prayer and silence. The students laid flowers at the “Heavenly Hundred” plaque commemorating the students of Volyn National University named after Lesya Ukrainka who perished defending the territorial integrity of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war.
