At Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University, celebrations devoted to the awarding of diplomas of the educational qualification level of Bachelor have started.
This year, the awarding of documents on obtaining higher education will take place almost every day, separately for graduates of every faculty. Altogether, 1,490 students will receive Bachelor's diploma. A hundred and sixty diploma supplements contain information on significant achievements in education. The diploma awarding marathon started with the Faculty of Culture and Art.
A People's Deputy of Ukraine Iryna Konstankevych, the rector of Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University Anatolii Tsos, the vice-rector for educational work and communication Nataliia Blahovirna, the dean of the Faculty of Culture and Art Vitalii Okhmaniuk, teachers, relatives, and friends attended the ceremony to congratulate the graduates.
The event began with a joint performance of the National Anthem of Ukraine and honoring the soldiers who perished in the battles of the war.
Iryna Konstankevych awarded the diplomas with honors to the students with significant educational achievements. She congratulated the graduates on an important event in their lives. In her welcoming speech, Iryna Myroslavivna said: “Awarding you the diplomas with honors, I want to congratulate you and emphasize that during the years of study you not only acquired a specialty, not only developed your natural abilities but also became a link in a long chain of cultural and artistic traditions formed in Volyn in many years”.
Iryna Konstankevych noted that graduates of the Faculty of Culture and Arts are cultural diplomats of Ukraine. With the help of their own talent, they convey to the world public that Ukrainians are highly talented people who share the same values as Europeans and the entire world community.
In his welcoming speech, Anatolii Tsos emphasized that 'it is the first “war-time” graduation and thanked the Armed Forces of Ukraine whose heroism allowed us to finish the academic year and hold this solemn event. Anatolii Vasyliovych also thanked the students, teachers, and all the staff members of the University who defend the country with weapons in their hands, are volunteering, and bring victory closer.
Addressing the graduates, the rector paid special attention to personal self-improvement: “Your majors need constant improvement. Education and self-education should accompany you throughout your life. Keep learning, never stop educating yourself, and do your job diligently. Good luck!”
There were also words of gratitude from the graduates and instructions from their teachers at the celebrations.
