On December 20, 2024, a guest lecture “Successful practices of organizing business by Ukrainians in EU countries” was held at the Faculty of Economics and Management for applicants of the first, second and third levels of higher education in the specialty 073 Management. The lecturer was Nataliia Vasylivna Besheha, PhD in psychology, a private entrepreneur who has lived and worked in the Czech Republic for over 20 years.
Ms. Natalia shared her own experience of employment in the Czech Republic; she talked about how Ukrainians successfully develop their business abroad, despite the need for licensing, high costs for renting premises, technology, and equipment. In particular, in the Czech Republic, Ukrainians are in leading positions in the construction, restaurant and hotel business. The speaker also noted that Ukrainian refugees in the Czech Republic have made a much greater contribution to the country's budget than the Czech Republic spent on their payments.
The conversation was joined by businesswoman Vita Pshets, who, together with Ms. Natalia, is an employee of the German direct sales company in the field of health prevention PM-International. She noted that in business, knowledge and charisma should go hand in hand, everything starts with a small step, a small dream. Ms. Vita emphasized the importance of the mental health of entrepreneurs and wished the applicants to find an interesting direction for themselves in which they would like to work.
At the end of the online meeting, the audience had the opportunity to ask questions about philanthropy in business, adaptation in a new country, and the time of successful people for rest.
The guest lecture took place based on the results of the agreements reached during the stay of Professor of the Department of Management Olesia Totska in Prague at a workshop organized by the French Center for Research in Humanities and Social Sciences (CEFRES).
We thank the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the opportunity to conduct training and broaden horizons.
Olesia TOTSKA,
Professor of the Department of Management
