On the initiative of the Department of Health and Physical Culture, Lesya Ukrainka University held a chess competition for Rector’s Cup on November 22–24, with 10 participating teams representing the University’s faculties. During the fierce competition, the first place was taken by the Faculty of Foreign Philology. The second place was taken by the team of the Faculty of Economics and Management, and the third place by the Faculty of International Relations.
In the individual championship among men, Maksym Huzio (Faculty of Economics and Management) took first place, Artem Shepsheley (Specialised College of Technology, Business and Law) took second place, Mykola Hranovskyi (Faculty of Foreign Philology) third place.
Among women, Ulyana Blagovirna (Faculty of Foreign Philology) is the first winner, Sofya Dovgan (Faculty of Information Technologies and Mathematics) is the second, and Viktoriya Yermolaieva (Faculty of International Relations) is the third.
The competition was held in the “Erudyt” chess and checkers club. The chief judge is Oleksandr Malimon. Congratulations to the winners and best wishes for future success!
