On September 29, the Educational and Scientific Laboratory of Social Work was opened at the Faculty of Pedagogical Education and Social Work. As the Head of the Department of Social Work and Pedagogy of the Higher School Svitlana Cherneta mentioned that the idea of creating a laboratory dedicated to the organisation of social services emerged a long time ago, but there was no possibility of its practical implementation. However, thanks to joint efforts, everything has become successful. The purpose of creating the laboratory is to train highly qualified and competitive specialists in social work, who are needed by the labour market today, as well as conducting scientific research.
Rector Anatolii Tsios made a welcome speech, noting for the start that the University is a powerful and serious structure performing many functions. The most important thing now is to do everything to bring Victory closer which is the unique salvation for our nation. “It is practically a crime to work poorly in wartime. We must work for the quality. And today, it is extremely pleasant to see a good laboratory and care for one’s work,” the Rector summerised. Anatolii Tsios also thanked his colleagues for their work supposed to ensure the quality education for the students.
The Vice-rector for Academic Work and Recruitment Yurii Hromyk, in his turn, expressed a belief that the laboratory opening will provide more opportunities for studying and working with students and an impetus for the development of scientific studies. Yuriy Vasyliovych thanked the faculty staff for promoting current and progressive ideas.
Nataliia Blahovirna, Vice-Rector for Educational Work and Communication, also added congratulatory words. “The quality of education is probably always the result of thinking,” the Vice-Rector noted. – We are sincerely happy about the high-quality and diverse initiatives that have been planned. We are proud of our lecturers working intensively and expanding their fields of activity.”
At the end of the laboratory ceremonial opening, the Dean of the Faculty of Pedagogical Education and Social Work, Volodymyr Antoniuk, spoke. “This great result is just the beginning. Let the next step be just as bright,” the Dean said.
The event continued with a round table within the framework of improving the qualifications of scientific, scholarly-pedagogical and social workers named “Modern strategies and innovative models of providing social services”.
