Intercultural communication is continued by Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University. An event was held on February 3 in the conference hall of the main university building, during which the participants had the opportunity to get the knowledge of the culture, language and customs of China.
The event was organised by the Faculty of International Relations, headed by the Dean Antonina Shuliak. The hall was attended by the faculty students and the students of Lutsk Modest Levitsky Gymnasium № 4 studying Chinese, their teacher Olha Katrych, employees of the Department of International Relations, Masters of Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University from China, and others.
The co-organiser of the event is Hong Long Chinese Language School (headed by Anna Dobrovolska), known to have signed a cooperation agreement with the University.
"We are having a special atmosphere today. We are very glad to have managed to gather everyone for such an event. Today, everyone will have the opportunity to learn the ways of New Year celebrations in China, communicate with each other and make a Chinese amulet," Antonina Shuliak said, the Dean of the Faculty of International Relations at the beginning of the event.
Anna Dobrovolska was invited to speak later. "Today we will plunge into the world of celebrating the Chinese New Year. This is a special holiday for every Chinese," she said.
The head of the Chinese language school informed about the traditions of celebrating New Year and birthdays in China. In addition, the audience played a festive bingo, the winners of the game receiving tangerines. The event ended with making charm lanterns and a group photo.
