Lesya Ukrainka University continues to systematically improve the assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. On September 27–28, a large-scale fair marathon took place in our higher educational establishment, with participants from all structural units.
Special locations were arranged at each of the faculties. Pastries, souvenirs, books and many other things were on sale. In addition, in order to raise funds for our Heroes, students organised special auctions and presented patriotic artistic shows.
In particular, in addition to various delicacies, the students of Faculty of Psychology organised small charity trainings for psychological relief, drawing portraits; a jazz band played at the location of Faculty of Geography; the representatives of Faculty of Physical Culture, Sports and Health played chess and checkers with everyone willing to donate; Educational and Scientific Institute of Physics and Technology organised an exhibition of equipment used by the employees of State Emergency Service during demining of territories and rescue operations.
Visiting the faculties, Rector Anatolii Tsos emphasized that now Lesya's people have two main priorities – to learn and help the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It is the second task, according to him, that will bring Ukraine closer to victory in the war. For this, in fact, Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University organised a fair marathon.
Anatolii Tsos noted that the collected funds will be spent by the 100th Separate Brigade of Territorial Defense of Volyn, the 14th separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Roman the Great and the Luhansk Border Detachment.
«I am very glad that we are holding this marathon today. Of course, our main task is training and quality education, our common future depends on it. But there will be no future without the victory of Ukraine. That is why we are organising today's events. Volunteering is an extremely important activity during wartime. All collected funds will be used by the Defense Forces of Ukraine. It is very important that make a contribution and bring our Victory closer,» said Anatolii Tsos.
The first day of the fair marathon at Faculty of Foreign Philology has ended. A charity auction was held here, where lots from Rector, Vice-Rectors and Dean were sold. Fairs are currently held at the faculties, the event will also take place in the Separate Structural Unit «Specialised College of Technology, Business and Law».
The total amount of collected funds will be announced later on the official website of Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University and University's official platforms on social networks.
