March 7 and 8, 2025, an Open Day was held at Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University. The event was attended by hundreds of applicants, teachers and parents who had the opportunity to learn about the educational opportunities of the institution. The event was held in the library building.
Acting rector Anatolii Tsos told the prospective students about the competitive advantages and features of education, the work of the faculties, scientific activities and the material and technical base of the University. School students also learned about the “Double Diploma” programme, received information about specialties and student leisure.
In addition to the educational component, the visitors were could see various activities and creative performances by the students. The event was accompanied by musical greetings from the “VsG duo” instrumental duet of Faculty of Culture and Arts, as well as a performance by student Yelyzaveta Redko, who delivered a wonderful musical performance.
The Student Dean Svitlana Usyk spoke about the possibilities of student self-government. She emphasized that the University students have the opportunity to influence the educational process, implement their own initiatives and participate in important social and cultural projects.
A special highlight of the event was the "Paths of Lesya’s Mystery" performance performed by the students of Department of Choreography which immersed the guests in the world of Lesya Ukrainka's creativity.
Executive Secretary of the Admissions Committee Oleh Dykyi spoke about the admission campaign specifics, the documents submission procedure, the competitive selection features, study grants and opportunities that the students would receive after the admission.
Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University is actively represented in social networks, and the main platform for communication is the official website of the Admissions Committee, where the applicants can find up-to-date information on admission, educational programmes and life at the institution.
At the end of the event, Anatolii Tsos introduced the deans of the faculties to the applicants. The students were able to choose a direction of interest to them and visit the faculty together with the student deans and faculty deans.
The Open Day was a great opportunity for the prospective applicants not only to learn more about the University, but also to feel its atmosphere, communicate with lecturers and students, and take the first step towards their future.
