Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University continues developing successful relations with Pomeranian University in Slupsk (Republic of Poland) within the Erasmus+ mobility programme for administrative staff. Rector of Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University together with Vice-Rectors Liudmyla Yelisieieva and Nataliia Blahovirna, Head of International Relations Office Vladyslav Kolomechiuk, met with Vice-Rector of Pomeranian University Marek Lukasik.

During the partnership meeting, the perspective areas of cooperation were outlined: the support for academic mobility of students and lecturers, expansion of studies under the double degree programme and semester internship, effective project activities, scientific research and development of the international scope of interaction of student self-government of both universities.
Rector Anatolii Tsos expressed his gratitude to the partners from Pomeranian University – Rector Zbigniew Osadowski, Vice-Rector Marek Lukasik and the international office coordinators for the warm welcome, support and new joint plans.

«The international exchange of students and lecturers in partnership with Pomeranian University opens up new opportunities for strengthening cooperation under the double degree programme in various educational areas, in particular, in Physiotherapy, Polonistics, and active multilateral scientific cooperation. This year, 31 students and 14 university educators have taken part in short- and long-term international academic mobility programmes in Slupsk. This made it possible to travel from several weeks to several semesters for a study, work, and exchange experience. Every year, we expand new promising areas strengthening the quality of providing educational services,» emphasized Rector Anatolii Tsos.

Vice-Rector Marek Lukasik emphasized the importance of such meetings, because «their purpose is to exchange ideas and discuss projects related to the internationalisation of both universities» and expressed hope for even more active cooperation in the future.

During their stay at Pomeranian University Lesya’s people got acquainted with the structure and content of the activities of the partner university, the practice of international work, the structure of management and evaluation of the effectiveness of scientific and pedagogical workers.

In general, the meetings were extremely diverse. The delegation of Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University talked with lecturers and employees, visited the university campus, signed an extended agreement on the implementation of the Erasmus+ academic exchange programme, shared and exchanged experience.
