Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University joined the «Scientific Picnic» at Lutsk Lyceum No. 27. The representatives of Volyn Regional Small Academy of Sciences, Lutsk City Council and National Technical University also participated in the event.
The University delegation included Rector Anatolii Tsos, Vice-Rector for Educational Work and Communication Nataliia Blahovirna, deans and lecturers, active student authority. To the attention of the students and educators of Lesya’s Lyceum, people at about ten locations presented various areas of work at the faculties of higher education.
In particular, the representatives of the Faculty of Law staged the crime scene and created the conditions for its investigation. Pupils were told how to take fingerprints, shown different types of weapons such as firearms and cold weapons, and were introduced to the contents of a forensic scientist’s briefcase.
The students and lecturers of Faculty of Chemistry, Ecology and Parmacy conducted various experiments in the presence of schoolchildren. The Biology students, together with Dean of the faculty Oleksandr Zhuravliov, showed the students representatives of the flora and fauna and treated them to jam and honey, the ingredients of which were collected in Volyn forests. The representatives of Medical Faculty taught schoolchildren to provide first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation, measured blood pressure, and determined hand strength using a dynamometer. The students of Faculty of Psychology conducted tests for all interested. In the faculty tents of Pedagogical Education and Social Work, International Relations, and Foreign Philology, future applicants were told about the specifics of studying on certain specialties. The future applicants were also interested in the exposition of the representatives of Educational and Scientific Physics and Technology Institute, where everyone could conduct experiments and use the devices, and the male part of the students crowded around the tent of Faculty of History, Political Science and National Security, where students of the specialty 256 National Security talked about weapons, organised master class on disassembling and assembling a machine gun.

During the ceremonial part, Rector participated in the presentation of diplomas to talented students and teachers. At the end, Lyceum Director Veronika Zakharchuk and University Head Anatolii Tsos signed a cooperation agreement.
