Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University continues to actively assist the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The university representatives personally provided assistance to the military.

Traditionally, the entire university community has contributed to the collection of the urgent supplies for our soldiers. In particular, numerous charity fair marathon events were held at the faculties providing an opportunity to help both separate units in which our students serve and support brigades with which long-term cooperation had been established. In addition, Lesyas people transferred one day’s earnings to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The collected funds were sent to purchase four DJI MAVIC 3T quadcopters, as well as the necessary equipment for the unmanned systems battalion.

“Thanks to the Ukrainian-Norwegian charity project “Donate of Victory” for 100th Separate Mechanised Brigade, implemented in October with our partner NGO “Democratic Week of the Carpathian Sea” led by Liliia Honcharevych, a graduate of the University, we managed to “multiply” the efforts of the University community.  The foreign participants donated a car, eight DJI MAVIC 3T quadcopters and accessories to the brigade,” said the project’s initiator, Head of Department of History and Culture of the Ukrainian Language Iryna Levchuk. She also clarified: “In September, our fellow countrymen, thanks to the cooperation we initiated with Ms. Liliia and the “Democratic Week of the Carpathian Sea”, also received a pickup truck. And recently, within the framework of a joint auction, we managed to provide one of the special forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, headed by our fellow countryman, with two complexes of unmanned systems of Ukrainian production including 10 drones.”

This time, our partners from France also joined fundraising initiatives. In particular, the Yaroslavna Association, with the support of the city hall of the French city of Toulouse, handed over a large batch of medicines to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In addition, the Dobra Sprava Foundation provided humanitarian items. In the end, together with partners, we managed to collect the necessary things, and a delegation from Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University, consisting of Rector Anatolii Tsos, Head of Department of History and Culture of the Ukrainian Language Iryna Levchuk, and the driver Vasyl Krotiuk, delivered aid to the military in the places of their deployment in Kharkiv and Donetsk regions. The defenders from the 14th Separate Mechanised Brigade named after Prince Roman the Great and the 100th Separate Mechanised Brigade received quadcopters, medicines, goodies, other necessary things, and most importantly, a sense of support.

“I sincerely thank all of Lesya’s people and our partners for their concern. I am convinced that together we will definitely win!” – summed up Rector Anatolii Tsos.
