The representatives of Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University visited the militaries who firmly protected the Motherland in the hottest spots since the beginning of the full-scale russia’s invasion into the territory of Ukraine.
A delegation of performers from the Faculty of Culture and Arts guided by Dean Vitalii Okhmaniuk, organised a concert programme for the military.
The unit, which was hosted by Lesya’s people, is currently undegoing recovery and recreation in Volyn after a year at war and heavy battles in Kherson region and Bakhmut.
During his speech, Rector of the University, Anatolii Tsos, thanked the servicepersons for the protection and the opportunity for many Ukrainians to work, and for academics to organise the educational process.
The Head of University also noted that the educators’ activities and the military are connected.
"Otto von Bismarck wrote very apt words: "The enemy comes where the teacher and the priest lose." That is why education is an important factor of national security. Now education should not be considered as a system of formation of knowledge and skills, but as a system of formation of personality, which is primarily a patriot and possesses professional competences. This is the type of specialist we are trying to forge," said Anatolii Tsos.
During the concert, the military also expressed their gratitude to Anatolii Tsos, Vitalii Okhmaniuk, the Chord Quartet, and University employees for their help and support.
