On September 5, Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University launched the all-Ukrainian educational course “Creation and Development of IT Products”, a project of integrating product IT business into the educational process.
The course was developed by the Genesis IT co-founding company, the “Educational Foundation of Product IT” public organisation and the EdEra studio together with the Ministry of Digital Transformation and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine in partnership with the Kyiv School of Economics and the Horizon Capital investment fund. The training is aimed at the development of IT entrepreneurship and the sphere of product IT in Ukraine to further strengthen the country's economy. The university students will acquire from practitioners basic knowledge of product IT, entrepreneurship and product management. This will help them take first steps in a food IT company or launch own product IT business.
The Associate Professor of the Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Marketing Tetiana Sak and the Associate Professor of the Department of Management and Administration Nataliia Hrytsiuk were trained by the specialists of the Genesis IT company, received certifications for teaching the course and its integration into their educational disciplines for students.
Offline training of such disciplines framed as “Start-up” training course, “Innovative Entrepreneurship and Start-up Project Management” for masters of Specialties 076 Entrepreneurship, Trade and Exchange Activity, 073 Management will be combined with a virtual internship simulator in an IT company with real cases, expert practitioners and the opportunity to create one’s own IT product.
The educational process will be designed as an IT company internship, during which the students will meet industry leaders, practitioners, solve specific tasks, and make decisions. The best students will be able to receive mentoring support from leading product IT specialists. The format of an educational simulator with immersion in the process and various options for the development of events is one of the most effective in education and is currently unique for the educational system of Ukraine.
The experts and speakers of the online part of the course were the Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov, the Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation for European Integration Valeriia Ionan, the co-founder of Monobank Dmytro Dubilet, Client Partner Apps & Ventures, CEE at Meta Stas Birov, COO Genesis Artem Kopaniev, CEO Suitsme (Genesis) Halyna Yefremova and other specialists from leading product IT companies. The participation of Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University in the all-Ukrainian educational course “Creation and Development of IT Products” will contribute to the innovative progress of the students, making it possible to establish partnerships with IT companies, maintain and improve the quality of educational services.
