936 graduates of Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University received Master’s degrees. The celebrations took place on December 28. Lesya’s community, led by Rector Anatolii Tsos, Deputy Chairman of the Volyn Regional Council Yurii Polishchuk, Deputy Mayor of Lutsk Iryna Chebeliuk, parents, relatives and friends of the graduates came to congratulate the jubilant.
In his congratulatory speech, Head of the University, Anatolii Tsos, wished the newly graduated master’s family comfort, warmth, trust, mutual assistance, realisation of potential and all kinds of achievements in their professional activities. “Your graduation faced with many challenges: the coronavirus, the war, but we did everything to ensure that you received a good education. I am convinced that you have the knowledge and skills that will be useful to you and our Motherland. It is extremely important that we are not indifferent, but actively contributing and bringing our victory closer,” said Rector.
Deputy Chairman of the Volyn Regional Council Yurii Polishchuk also congratulated the masters on behalf of Chairman of the Regional Council and the entire body of deputies and wished that the obtained diploma bring everyone a good job, material satisfaction and benefit to the Motherland. “I am glad to welcome the masters of our main institution of higher education in Volyn. It is extremely exciting to welcome you, despite these difficult times in the country. May the path you took to the diploma be not in vain and your education bring material and moral satisfaction, benefit Ukraine. You are the future of our country and it is up to you to create a great, prosperous and successful country,” said Yurii Polishchuk.
Deputy Mayor Iryna Chebeliuk wished the graduates success in life and a bright future. “Our children had a special time. It all started with Covid, but as it turned out, it was not the most difficult thing awaiting us. However, we have to survive all the trials. I am sure that we will be able to defeat this evil. The war affected many, but we must continue to live,” Iryna Chebeliuk summed up.
In the end, graduates of each faculty and institute took turns on the stage and received diplomas from Rector’s hands, honoured guests and deans. The guests of the venue greeted the jubilant graduates with applause, and songs from creative groups sounded in their honour.
