On March 23, a master class was held in the educational media centre for journalist students by Vitalii Golubiev, Founder of the Universal Journalist School and all-Ukrainian competition “I am a Journalist!”, secretary of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine.
The media trainer shared with the youth his advice on the responsible and effective use of social networks by journalists. The speaker focused on the importance of creating and receiving quality media content, outlined the need to combine critical and positive thinking, emphasized the need to periodically “de-virtualise” online contacts, and urged to adhere to the basic rules of information hygiene. At the meeting, the topic of rational use of time spent on the Internet and proper online polemics were also discussed.
As Secretary of the Union of Journalists of Ukraine, Vitalii Golubiev presented a special edition of the newspaper “We are from Ukraine”. The publication is dedicated to the challenges faced by Ukrainians after the full-scale invasion.
The meeting guests could participate in the journalist initiated competition for the best thematic story on the Instagram network and presented the winner, sophomore Zoryana Vashchuk, with the author’s manual “Efficiency. A Book for Information Workers”. In the end, all interested individuals could get answers to the questions they were interested in.
