Rector of the Lesya Ukrainka University Anatolii Tsos and Rector of the University of Latvia, Professor Indrikis Muiznieks signed a memorandum of understanding between higher education institutions. The Dean of the Faculty of International Relations, Antonina Shuliak, and Coordinator of International Erasmus of the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Latvia, Oleksandra Kyakste, are responsible for its implementation.
The cooperation between the two higher education establishments will take place in the following directions: student exchange; scientific and pedagogical training of teachers and graduate students; conducting lectures by teachers of both sides; exchange of experience in the use of new information technologies in the educational and scientific process; joint sports and recreation and mass cultural programmes; exchange of printed products for the formation of library funds, publications and educational programmes; organisation and holding of joint scientific conferences and symposia; invitation of party delegations; preparation of joint projects for financing by national and international funds, and more.
