Volyn National University named after Lesya Ukrainka and Volyn Institute of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education organized a series of training seminars for psychologists who work with servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. So far, two groups of psychologists who provide psychological support to defenders of 100 ombres have completed their training.
Training seminars contribute to the formation of resilience, stress resistance and psychological harmony, as well as finding resources for recovery. In the end, psychologists were presented with certificates of completion.
The rector of Lesya Ukrainka University Anatoly Tsyos noted that our higher education institution has a well-established cooperation with both 100 obmr and VIPPO. Anatoliy Vasyliovych noted that the University contributes in every way to the approach of victory, in particular by implementing projects with other institutions and organizations that help social adaptation and mental health of our defenders.
Nataliya Blagovirna, vice-rector for educational work and communication, thanked everyone involved for organizing such an initiative. According to her, the public demand for psychologists has been growing since 2014, and the department of practical psychology and psychodiagnostics has extensive practical experience in cooperation with military personnel. "Veteran space ++" also operates at the University.
Associate Professor of the Department of Practical Psychology and Psychodiagnostics Antoniy Melnyk, who has been working with the military since 2014, expressed hope that such training would not be a one-time event. "I would like to thank the organizers for the trust to cooperate with fellow psychologists. Thanks to the participants of the training for their activity. It was felt that you wanted to gain knowledge: not only theory, but what is actually needed to help the military," he said.
