On May 17, Mind Game “Student Science Quiz” was held at Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University within the Days of Science–2023 framework.
16 teams participated in the event. They represented all faculties and institutes of higher education institutions. The teams chose for themselves creative names associated with the faculty’s (institute) profile: “FIFagore’s Theorem” (Faculty of Foreign Philology), “Wild Botany” (Faculty of Biology and Forestry), “Unlucky in Cards” (Faculty of Geography), “Brain Capitalists” (Faculty of Economics and Management), “CLIO” (Faculty of History, Political Science and National Security), “Ethanolchik” (Faculty of Chemistry, Ecology and Pharmacy), “Checkmate” (Faculty of Information Technologies and Mathematics), “TRO of the Soul” (Faculty of Psychology), “Students of Komenskyi” (Faculty of Pedagogical Education and Social Work), “Art» (Faculty of Culture and Arts), “Electrons” (Educational and Scientific Institute of Physics and Technology), “Veni, vidi, vici ” (Faculty of Law), “Fantastic Eight” (Faculty of Philology and Journalism), “Confido” (Faculty of Medicine), “VIP” (Faculty of International Relations), “Sport” (Faculty of Physical Culture, Sports and Health).
The game consisted of nine scientific and intellectual rounds, during which the participants answered questions, solved riddles and puzzles, and did interesting tasks.
Despite the rivalry, Mind Game “Student Science Quiz” took place in a friendly, warm, fun and energetic atmosphere. All teams showed off powerful scientific knowledge, extraordinary erudition, intelligence and ability to work in a team.
However, a game should have winners. So, third place was won by the team “CLIO” (Roman Zubczyk, Maksym Zinchuk, Karina Hanich, Anna Hromyk, Yulia Kardach, Oleksandra Dolaichuk, Inna Kondratovych, Victoria Laba). Second place taken by the representatives of the “Fantastic Eight” (Veronika Pyroh, Ihor Sokolovskyi, Maryna Pokhozei, Roman Marchuk, Viktoriya Khanas, Yurii Barskyi, Denys Makarchuk, Anastasia Basalka). The first place was won by the team “TRO of the Soul” (Olexandra Mostova, Svitlana Usyk, Iryna Magdysiuk, Maria Dmytrenko, Iryna Diachenko, Sviatoslav Shypelyk, Taya Snizhko, Pavlo Hoshko).
Prize-winning teams were awarded with gifts.
