March 3, 2025, Faculty of Chemistry and Ecology of Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University held a grand opening of two modern laboratories: “Laboratory of Quality Control and Food Safety” and “Laboratory of Physico-Chemical Methods of Analysis and Monitoring of Environmental Quality”. The event was attended by acting rector Anatolii Tsos, Dean of Faculty Larysa Marushko, lecturers and students.
During his welcome speech, Anatolii Tsos emphasized the importance of creating modern conditions for learning and scientific activity: “These laboratories are the first step for the further development of the material and technical base of the faculty. They are much better than those in Europe, this is our pride. I thank the lecturers and students for their hard work. We will continue to develop the faculty, because we care about the University's future image. Another priority is the creation of a food technology laboratory.”
Dean of Faculty, Larysa Marushko, emphasized the importance of the support of the University administration and expressed gratitude to everyone who had participated in the implementation of this project: “Today I want to talk about gratitude. Our students are actively working in the scientific field and demonstrating a high level of knowledge. Of course, the University administration sees this and supports us, creating excellent conditions for scientific, educational and training activities. Thanks to this, today we have these wonderful laboratories, which mean a lot to our faculty, lecturers and students.”
The students are already actively working in the new laboratories and gaining practical skills of work with modern equipment.
