On July 8, a multimedia shooting complex was opened at Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University, on the basis of the Law Faculty. The event was attended by Anatolii Tsos, the Rector, Nataliia Blahovirna, a Vice-Rector for Educational Work and Communication, Anton Demchuk, the Dean of the Faculty, teachers, and students. Representatives of the mass media joined the opening ceremony.
At the beginning of the event, the Dean of the Law Faculty, Anton Demchuk, said: "We managed to implement this project in difficult for our state period. Preparations for it have lasted for about a year. Today we are happy to present to you a multimedia shooting range complex, which gives our students an opportunity to receive some military training. In particular, there will be training on the construction of weapons and types of shooting from automatic weapons and pistols in different positions. We also have mock-ups of some types of weapons that you can familiarize yourself with”. Rector Anatolii Tsos emphasized that the opening of this complex makes it possible to modernize the educational process and significantly improve the quality of education of our students. “Today, it is very important to teach different categories and groups of the population how to use weapons. We will create special groups and teach everyone who wants to learn shooting skills. I am convinced that it will be a kind of our contribution to the victory,” assured the head of Lesya Ukrainka University.
Nataliia Blahovirna, the vice-rector for educational work and communication, invited media people to try their hand at shooting. “Your profession is quite hard and very important. In the current war conditions, it is necessary to have such skills,” she noted. Representatives of the University led by the rector together with journalists tried to test the multimedia shooting range. The university had purchased equipment for the complex before the full-scale invasion began. The artistic design of the premises was carried out by the design department of Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University.
The multimedia shooting range complex has only a few analogs in Ukraine. It allows working with different types of weapons. All weapons have lasers.
