Larysa Zasiekina, Vice-Rector for Research and International Affairs of Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University, has visited the University of Bern and Bern University of Applied Sciences of late.
During her visit she met with Michael Kaess, Clinical Director and Chair of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Head of Research, and Dr. phil. Andrea Abraham, Associate researcher and leader of the project aligned with transgenerational transmission of trauma.
The scholars discussed the main issues of efficient psychological support for Ukrainian refugees in Switzerland and internally displaced people in Ukraine. The Ukrainian Centre of Psychotrauma at our University and Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Bern support the displaced Ukrainian families and suggest them psychological help. Larysa Zasiekina and the Swiss scholars discussed and prepared the main fields for collaboration and suggest to sign memorandum between Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University and Bern University of Applied Sciences.
