“We have a stable, fruitful, and effective tradition of cooperation with the University of Warsaw. We have jointly implemented many conferences and events participated by our lecturers and students. Within the framework of East European studies, new knowledge and qualifications were gained. Today, we are pleased to receive our friend, reliable partner, Professor, Director of Centre for East European Studies of the University of Warsaw, Jan Malicki,” said Rector Anatolii Tsos, thanking the guest for his courage to come to Ukraine during the war and emphasizing the special value of such meetings.

The visit programme also includes an open lecture by Yan Malicky for the students and lecturers of the University. In particular, Professor spoke about the activities of the centre in charge of and its capabilities: "We organise internships, conferences, publish scientific journals, implement state scholarship programmes and research projects. An example is a large-scale study of Poles in Transnistria which lasted four years. We also set our own rhythm, form the elite through education and public activity. This is our most important mission, in which Ukraine is a special player.”

Vice-Rector Yurii Hromyk thanked the guest for the meaningful meeting and inspiring words: “Your speech conveyed an extremely important thesis to us: “Ukraine will be!”. Thank you for the right accents, hope for close further cooperation with Poland as our closest neighbour and strategic partner.
