On June 13, 2025, Dr Hab. Michał Piasecki, Professor of the Institute of Physics of the Faculty of Natural, Exact and Technical Sciences of Jan Długosz University, paid a working visit to the University.
Professor met with acting Rector Anatolii Tsos and Director of Educational and Scientific Institute of Physics and Technology Halyna Myronchuk. During the conversation, the already implemented initiatives were summed up, as well as key areas of further cooperation in the field of physics, materials science, educational programmes, and mobility of students and lecturers were identified.
It should mentioned that Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University has been successfully cooperating with Jan Długosz University of Humanities and Sciences in Częstochowa for over ten years. Within the framework of this partnership, joint scientific research, academic exchanges and international educational programmes are being implemented.
It is especially delightful to note that it was Professor Michał Piasetsky who was at the origins of the double degree programme, today one of the most successful examples of Ukrainian-Polish educational partnerships.
Over the years of cooperation, more than 50 scientific papers have been published in professional international journals included in the Scopus and Web of Science databases. In addition, more than 40 students of Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University have taken part in the double degree programme allowing to obtain a degree from both universities.
Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University highly values the partnership with the Jan Długosh University of Humanities and Sciences and sees it as a strategic direction for the development of international cooperation.
