On April 8 the Re-qualification and Social Adaptation of Military Personnel, Veterans and Their Family Members, and the Norway-Ukraine Model Integration Project was released. Due to the quarantine, the spring semester was started online.
Via video, the participants were commended by the Lesya Ukrainka Eastern European National University Rector Anatolii Tsios and the International Social Adaptation Foundation President Volodymyr Rubtsov.
Together with the EENU personnel, the Chief of the Centre for Public Education and the project manager Olha Ivankiv introduced the participants to the aim of the project, the staging of distance learning process and the benefits of obtaining the civil education along with other opportunities to be provided by the Norway-Ukraine project. The participants are to learn the IT basics and the peculiarities of private business management. The project will last 3 months.
The core of the project lies in the professional re-training of the target group in order they acquire civil professions that are in demand at the Ukrainian job market. The project also aims to facilitate the participants’ social adaptation to the civilian society. The educational executives are the Lesya Ukrainka EENU and the NORD University in Norway that are responsible for organizing 500-hour professional re-training in the sphere of IT for Private Business.
Having completed the program, the participants will obtain three certificates: a EENU state certificate for professional re-qualification, a joint EENU and NORD certificate and a joint diploma of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Defense of Norway.
