On November 29, the Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University working staff conference was held.
The participants of the event were: Rector Anatolii Tsos, People’s Deputy of Ukraine, Member of the Supervisory Board Iryna Konstankevych, Head of the Volyn Regional Council Hryhorii Nedopad, as well as administrative and teaching staff, employees of the higher education institution.
At the beginning of the event, People’s Deputy Iryna Konstankevich was invited to give a welcome speech: “Next year, despite the fact that we will have limited resources, we must mobilise more at the front just like we are currently working with you.” At the end of her speech, Iryna Konstankevych awarded Valery Petrovych, Associate Professor of the Department of Social Work and Pedagogy of the Higher School, with the gratitude of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
Later, Head of the Volyn Regional Council, Hryhorii Nedopad, was invited to speak. “We all became volunteers, regardless of positions and professions,” he summarised, and also wished the University development and prosperity, victory for Ukraine. In addition, Head of Regional Council presented the gratitude of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine to the following representatives of the University:
Svitlana Hembarska, Head of the Department of Theory of Functions and Methods of Teaching Mathematics;
Dean of the Faculty of Law, Anton Demchuk;
Lyudmyla Magdysiuk, Head of the Department of Practical Psychology and Psychodiagnostics;
Tetiana Poliezhaiieva, Associate Professor of the Department of Polonistics and Translation;
Oksana Pryimachok, Associate Professor of the Department of History and Culture of the Ukrainian Language.
After that, Anatolii Tsos presented the updated gravertons of the University to Iryna Konstankevych and Hryhorii Nedopad, as well as to Head of the Department of Management and Administration Larysa Cherchyk and Head of the Department of Accounting and Taxation to Iryna Sadovska.
According to the meeting agenda, Rector Anatolii Tsos was invited to speak to report on the work within the current year. “This is an unprecedented year in the history of our University. We needed organise our work to help to win the war. We understand that our existence depends on the victory of Ukraine. Dear colleagues, thank you that we are not indifferent, but from the first day we have been working towards victory,” he said. Actually, the first part of Rector’s report was devoted to activities aimed at Ukraine’s. Talking about the work in this direction, Anatolii Tsos noted that it had been possible to personally deliver help to our Heroes at the front line for three times during the year.
“At the same time, the University must train highly qualified specialists,” noted Head the University. Anatolii Tsos spoke about the institution’s achievements in various areas, such as national and patriotic education, educational and scientific work, admissions campaign, international, project, business activities, promotion and information support, etc.
The following officials took part in the discussion of the report: Nataliia Blahovirna, Vice-Rector for Educational Work and Communication, Vladyslav Kolomeichiuk, Head of International Relations Department, Tetiana Hordovska, Specialist of International Relations Department, Taras Pogrebskyi, Head of the Department of Economic and Social Geography. The conference was moderated by Volodymyr Kravchuk, Head of the Lesya Ukrainka University Trade Union Committee.
