He promised to make every effort to invite European and U.S. professors to deliver lectures in our University. He mentioned that Evaluation of Scientific and Educational Programs for National Minorities seminar is to be held next year (the first innovation seminar Evaluation of Educational Space was held in Volyn in August, 2014). Finally, Professor expressed his readiness to support similar seminars holding in Frankfurt, Germany. All materials are published, because those who write are known.
Michael Ruiss thanked the EENU Academic Council for being awarded the Doctor Honoris Causa title: "This title is a sign to serve your university. However, it is the publisher’s duty to be devoted to education." Of course, the newly awarded Doctor Honoris Causa reminded the audience of the Euromaidan events, the current situation in the country and hopes for future. "Those bloody and courageous days of protests from November 2013 till February 2014 showed that the Ukrainian people was fighting for changes in Ukraine. Lesya Ukrainka, patriot of Ukraine, encouraged people always to be optimistic, no matter how difficult their life was. I wish all Ukrainians to be confident and strong in yourr life, and you will be free from invaders very soon. The Ukraine’s accession to the European Union will be the end of a long integration process. Europe can be perfect only with Ukraine as its indispensable part."
His Eminence Metropolitan Bishop Mykhayil congratulated the guests on being conferred these titles: "I am happy that the University Scientific Society has more noble people of Ukraine and the world in general. Remarkably, this ceremony takes place in Lutsk, former capital of Europe, where the First Congress of European Monarchs was held."
"Today's event testified the incentive to move to Europe. International cooperation will develop and strengthen the University, education and science in Ukraine", said Governor Volodymyr Hunchyk.
Finally, Volodymyr Yevtukh handed to our scientists and scholars the Mykhailo Drahomanov National Pedagogical University Medal "For Significant Contribution to the Dissemination of the Idea of Unity of Europe."
The inauguration ended with the chords of the famous "Gaudeamus".
