On April 15, 2025, a meeting with the military "Da Vinci" of the 1st Separate Assault Regiment was held at the "Space of Ideas" of Faculty of History, Political Science, and National Security of Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University.
The event was attended by Dean of the Faculty Yaroslav Yarosh, Deputy Dean for Educational Work, Youth Policy, and Social Work Ivan Rudianyn, Veteran Policy Specialist Andriy Lev, and the students.
Ivan Rudianyn invited for a speech Andrii "Sagaydak", a graduate of Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University who defended Ukraine in the ranks of the 1st SAB as a M119 howitzer gunner.
The call sign "Somali" explained the history of the creation of currently the 1st SAR.
His friend "Ryzhyi" introduced the types and functions of UAVs and spoke about their important role in this war.
The call sign "Medoiid" dedicated his speech to tactical medicine. He spoke about the procedure for providing assistance during combat operations, and also showed the components of each soldier's first aid kit and ways of using it correctly.
The defenders answered numerous questions from students and demonstrated a mini-exhibition of military devices and equipment.
As a reminder, the meeting resulted in the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between Lesya Ukrainka University and the 1st SAR.
