On June 6, the «Robo-Slalom Volyn 2023» robotics competition took place at the University. The event is organised by Volyn Regional Small Academy of Sciences and Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University.
At the beginning of the event, Director of Volyn Oblast SAS, Tetyana Mykhaliuk, took the floor and thanked all those present for joining such initiatives. Rector of Lesya Ukrainka University Anatolii Tsos wished the young participants development and enthusiasm: «Contemporary times require active people who know a lot, know how and work. It is this purposeful work allowing you to get the competencies that you will need throughout your life.»
Vice-Rector for Educational Work and Communication, Nataliia Blagovirna, also addressed the young scientists who created the robot «contestants»: «I am sure that thanks to your curiosity, you will make our country the country of the future.»
The competition was held in two categories. The winners and prize-winners received awards and prizes from the organisers of the tournament.
Thus, the prize winners were:
category «Slalom high-speed special»
1st place – the team «Pryvyd Volyni» (Nazarii Blagovirnyi, Vasyl Shchur, Volyn Oblast SAS).
2nd place – teams «Shot wheel» (Nazarii Dzyuba, Volodymyr-Volyn Lyceum «Education Center» of the Volyn Regional Council) and «GIDROGEN» (Davyd Borutsky, Volodymyr-Volyn Lyceum «Education Centre» of Volyn Regional Council).
3rd place – teams «Seven Teens» (Andriy Korniychuk, Maksym Eslyuk, Lutsk Secondary School No. 17), «Robolab-2» (Pavlo Staroverskyi, studio «Robolab», Kivertsi), «Sprinter» (Artem Avetisyan, Lutsk Lyceum No. 27).
«Speed slalom» category
1st place – the «KRD» team (Stanislav Kantor, Bohdan Shabas, Novovolyn Scientific Lyceum of the Volyn Regional Council).
2nd place – teams «Robolab-1» (Maxim Hrytsyuk, Robolab Studio, Kivertsi) and «Kroko-champ» (Yaroslav Kordonets, Maksym Hrynyshyn, Volodymyr-Volynsky «Education Centre» of Volyn Regional Council).
3rd place – teams «Blyskavychnyi» (Bohdan Melnychuk, Volyn Oblast SAS), «Pryvid Volyn» (Nazarii Blagovirny, Vasyl Shchur, Volyn Oblast MAN), «JTR» (Olexii Denisyuk, Lutsk Lyceum No. 27).
