Within the Days of Science–2023 framework, a round table of the Council of Young Scientists “Research Interests of Young Scientists of the University in the Context of Current EU Practices” was held. The event marked the Europe Day, for the first time celebrated by Ukraine together this year with the European Union at the government level. The event took place on May 19 in the conference hall of the library of Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University.
The round table’s moderator was Head of the Council of Young Scientists, Candidate of Geographical Sciences, Assistant Professor Hennadiy Holub. The event began with a welcome speech by Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work and International Cooperation, Doctor of Economics, Professor Lyudmyla Yelisieieva, Head of Research Department, Сandidate of Psychological Sciences Iryna Hlova, and Curator of Scientific Society of Postgraduate Students and Students, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Assistant Professor Olga Karaim.
During the round table, young scientists presented reports on various directions and fields of research. Current social problems and challenges in the context of Ukraine's integration into the EU were discussed. It was noted that it was during the war that Ukrainian society, in particular young scientists, intensively integrated into the European cultural, educational, and scientific space, and the state adapted its national legislation to the European one and actively implemented the norms and standards of the European Union.
The event went by in one breath. Young scientists actively exchanged opinions and shared their own experience, new ideas for further scientific research were generated during discussions and debates.
