On June 23–24, Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University hosted the International conference – the Second academic readings in memory of Roman Artsyshevskyi “Worldview Education of Youth: Philosophical, Psychological, and Pedagogical Aspects”. The event was moderated by Andrii Semenov, associate professor of the Department of Political Science and Public Administration.

Rector of the University Anatolii Tsos addressed the participants with an opening speech. He noted: the topic of the conference is extremely relevant today. The fact is that thanks to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, we live and work on a relatively calm territory and can perform our professional functions and teach students. The rector proposed to honor the memory of those who perished in the Russian-Ukrainian war with a moment of silence. Anatolii Tsos also emphasized that it is extremely important for everyone to do their best to help and support the Armed Forces of Ukraine now. Anatolii Tsos said that he expects the participants of the conference to focus not only on the actual work and achievements of scientists in the field of worldview education of young people, which is important today but also outline specific practical ways for its implementation. Finally, the rector wished all those present at the event a fruitful discussion, fundamental findings, and clear practical recommendations for the implementation of the educational process in the current situation and in the future social life of our country.

Larysa Zasiekina, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work and International Cooperation, also addressed those present with a speech. Larysa Volodymyrivna noted that everything generated in a crisis situation, as well as what happens a second time, acquires the status of regularity. “Roman Artsyshevskyi is a very prominent figure in our University and in science in general. The postulate of his life was to unite everyone and help everyone. He was very kind to people. In the Roman Artsyshevskyi’s works, the perception of a person is very interesting. This is the core idea in his worldview because there is nothing more valuable than a person in this world.”
