In view of the long-term cooperation between Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University and the Polish University in Bialystok, the contract between the two institutions of higher education has been renewed for five years, with subsequent automatic extension of its term of validity. The initiators were Faculty of Philology and Journalism, from our side, and Faculty of Philology of the University of Bialystok, headed by the dean, Professor Yaroslav Lavskyi.
Legal confirmation of further cooperation will serve to deepen contacts with Polish educators and scientists in all possible fields of knowledge, because the University of Białystok, being the intellectual centre of Podlasie, offers students not only philological disciplines, but also international relations, chemistry, biology, physics, informatics, mathematics, economics, philosophical and other fields of knowledge, and a modern observatory stands on the territory of its campus.
In the previous years, the students and scientists of our higher education establishment visited Białystok as part of internships and academic exchanges, organised joint international conferences with Polish colleagues, and worked on important publications. We hope that this active cooperation will continue to develop.
