The State Secretary of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine Serhii Zakharin got acquainted with the activities of Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University, aimed at supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Serhiy Zakharin arrived in Volyn to check the readiness of educational institutions for the new academic year.
At Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Education and Science checked the shelters in the educational buildings. In addition, Serhii Volodymyrovych visited the laboratory for the production of ointments, the laboratory of robotics and the multimedia fire complex.
Natalia Slyvka, the Head of the Department of Organic Chemistry and Pharmacy, said that about 50 types of ointments, including anti-burn, anti-bruise, antifungal, wound-healing medicine and other stuff is produced by the University volunteers to meet the needs of the military.
On the basis of the Educational-Scientific Physical and Technical Institute, students and teachers manufacture power banks, which are handed over to the defenders of Ukraine. At the end of the visit, the delegation led by Serhii Zakharin and the University Rector Anatolii Tsos visited the recently opened multimedia fire complex. From now on, anyone interested can train using the weapons.
