A student of the University is among the winners of the Orthodox journalism competition

On Monday, June 6, in the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity of Volyn Diocese of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, a festive event dedicated to Journalist's Day took place. The complex of events included the announcement of the results and the awarding of the winners of the diocesan contest of Orthodox journalism.

The Information and Publishing Center of Volyn Diocese of the OCU held a creative competition for the second time. Its purpose is to revive the coverage of religious topics by journalists, to improve the level of their publications.

The winners in seven nominations (“Documentary”, “Essay”, “Interview”, “Outline”, “Report”, “Review”, “Article”) were awarded diplomas, and received a gift from Metropolitan Mykhailo of Lutsk and Volyn icons and unique books.

Among the winners of the competition is Roman Marchuk, a freshman at Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University, student of the “Journalism and Intercultural Communication” educational program. He won in the “Review” nomination for his work on the Greek-language publication “Romfea.gr”.
