On January 30, Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University received a letter of the application approval for individual membership in the European University Association (EUA). Therefore, the institution of higher education continues to establish international relations on the European arena.
The organisation was founded in 2001 and unites more than 850 educational institutions from 47 countries. Cooperation and information exchange as well as joint research projects are carried out within the association. The EUA Secretariat is located in Brussels (Belgium).
The main mission of EUA is promoting the development of a harmonious system of European higher education and scientific research, providing active support to its members as autonomous institutions in the development of the quality of learning, teaching and research work. The EUA evaluates the results of discussions held at the pan-European level and affecting the work of university associations at the national level, as well as individual members of the association. The association plays a crucial role in the formation of European higher education and scientific research.
The priorities of the organisation include: building the European area of higher education within the Bologna process, research and innovation, internationalisation of higher education and scientific research, improving the quality of work of European universities.
