October 25, 2024, Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University hosted a presentation of Jean Monnet projects of the “European Integration for Communities in the Context of Ukraine’s Accession to the EU” EU Erasmus+ programme.
“Faculty of International Relations already has a long-standing educational tradition and is famous for its grant projects within the framework of initiatives with our partners. All Jean Monnet modules are developing extremely actively at the University. Such projects not only contribute to the increasing quality of Ukrainian education and, accordingly, institutional correspondence to the positions of the educational process existing in the European Union, but also include a component of awareness of the EU and its structures, opportunities and are of extreme importance in the European integration of Ukraine,” Natalia Bohdanivna greeted the guests.
Two current and three new Jean Monnet projects of the EU Erasmus+ programme were presented, including:
1) Jean Monnet Centre for Excellence Volyn Centre for European Studies: Green and Secure Neighbourhood (VCES) (coordinator Andrii Boiar);
2.1) report on the “EU Strategic Communications: Counteracting Destructive Influences” Jean Monnet Module (coordinator Natalia Karpchuk);
2.2) the launch announcement of the new EU Counteraction to Foreign Information Manipulation and Interference (EUC2FIMI) Jean Monnet Module (coordinator Natalia Karpchuk);
3) the European Integration for Municipalities in the Context of Ukraine's Accession to the EU (EUAccession) Jean Monnet Module (coordinator Serhiy Fedonyuk);
4) the Corporate Sustainability and Responsibility in the European Union (CSREU) Jean Monnet Module (coordinator Iryna Kytsiuk).
The event was attended by: Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Communication Nataliia Blahovirna, Head of Lutsk District Council of Volyn Region Tatyana Pavlova-Bahriychuk, Director of Volyn Regional Centre for Advanced Training Tatiana Lytvynenko, Head of Department of Information Activities, Ensuring Interaction with Local Government Bodies and Digital Development of Lutsk District State (Military) Administration Olha Vatashchuk, Consolidated Information Analyst of the University Marta Sydoruk, Head of Department of International Relations and Regional Studies Nataliia Kotsan, Deputy of the 8th Convocation of Lutsk District Council Oleksandr Novak.

The goal of the "European Integration for Communities in the Context of Ukraine's Accession to the EU" project is to promote the successful European integration of Ukraine by providing comprehensive knowledge on European integration issues to public officers and training human resources to ensure the process of Ukraine's accession to the EU at the level of the territorial community.
